As standard, the valves feature PTFE gland packing. Fire-safe graphite packing to meet BS 6755 Part 2 and API 607 is available as an option. The spindle is equipped with a backstop for blowout prevention and the gland is externally adjustable.

Depending on the valve tip and packing materials, the valves have a maximum operating temperature range of -54 to 538C (-65 to 1000F).
